We collect the following information when you use this website:

  • Email address and first name — provided when you use our email capture forms
  • Mobile phone number (optional) — provided when you opt in to SMS reminders on the webinar registration form, with explicit consent recorded server-side
  • Calculator inputs — your selected state and estate value, used to calculate your estimated probate cost
  • Quiz answers — five multiple-choice questions about your estate planning awareness
  • Quiz segment — a category derived from your quiz answers, used to route you to the most relevant educational email course

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Send you educational email content via ConvertKit, our email service provider
  • Send transactional SMS reminders for webinar sessions you have registered for, if you have opted in
  • Personalize content based on your calculator results and quiz answers
  • Measure advertising effectiveness via Meta Pixel

3. SMS / Text Messages

If you provide a mobile phone number on our registration form and check the SMS consent box, you authorize Upbeat Media LLC to send automated transactional SMS reminders related to the webinar you registered for.

Messages we send

  • One reminder the morning of your registered webinar session
  • One reminder approximately five minutes before your session starts

Frequency

Up to two messages per registered webinar session. We do not send marketing SMS or promotional text messages.

Opt out and help

Reply STOP at any time to any message we send to opt out. You will receive a one-time opt-out confirmation, and you will not receive further SMS messages from us. Reply HELP for help.

Carrier disclosure

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. We are not responsible for delays or undelivered messages caused by your mobile carrier.

Your mobile information

We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is collected separately from email subscription consent and is not shared with our email service provider for marketing use.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • ConvertKit — email delivery and subscriber management. See their privacy policy.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery for webinar reminders. Mobile phone numbers are transmitted to Twilio solely to deliver the messages described above. See Twilio's privacy policy.
  • Meta Pixel — advertising measurement. Uses cookies _fbp (first-party browser ID) and _fbc (click ID from ad clicks) to track ad conversions. See Meta's privacy policy.

Our server-side Conversions API sends hashed email addresses to Meta for ad measurement purposes.

5. Session Recording and Heatmaps (Registration Page Only)

On the webinar registration page only, we use Contentsquare, a third-party session-recording and heatmap service, to understand how visitors interact with that page so we can improve it.

What it captures

Page interactions on the registration page — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and engagement with the registration form fields. This is used to identify confusing or unhelpful parts of the page and improve the registration experience.

Where it runs

Contentsquare runs only on the webinar registration page. It is not loaded on the rest of this website — the probate cost calculator and other pages are not session-recorded.

Opt out and contact

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, Contentsquare is not loaded on the registration page and no session recording occurs. 6. Cookies

Meta Pixel sets _fbp (first-party browser ID) and _fbc (click ID from ad clicks). Session storage is used for calculator and quiz state and is cleared when your browser tab closes. On the webinar registration page only, Contentsquare sets its own cookies and/or local storage to support session recording and heatmaps; this does not occur on the probate cost calculator or the rest of the website.

7. Data Retention

Email subscriber data is retained in ConvertKit until you unsubscribe. Calculator and quiz data are stored as ConvertKit custom fields alongside your subscription. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent records are retained for the duration of your registration and a reasonable record-keeping period thereafter to demonstrate consent compliance. You can unsubscribe and request data deletion at any time.

8. Your Rights

  • Unsubscribe from emails via the link included in every email
  • Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message
  • Request deletion of your data by contacting us
  • Access or correct your information by contacting us

9. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
